The width can be adjusted before installing it on the right side by unscrewing the cover on the underside of the end piece, then loosening the two screws on the rail and widening it out to the correct width (then tighten again and reinstall the cover). bq5448_001 My kid is tough on his shoes and these have held up well, I highly recommend them.
