I did not like that they have not much structure for the uppers - they WILL stretch out almost immediately and theyll also open up so that they look kinda sloppy. I would recommend going down a half size when in doubt, especially if youre between sizes. m30233 I followed a recommendation from another reviewer and used some 3/16 short rivets, but I had to go back for some #8 washers because the rivets would slide through the holes. Ive just returned from recycling where I went and dumped all the other shoes that were in my cupboard until these arrived just now, because I absolutely definitely wasnt going to wear any of them again. m30233 I bought these because the inside wasnt cloth which absorbs and holds on to odors and it was available in a wide size. m30233 The only way to add more control would be to add flat steels in front instead of the spirals, and at this price point, I may buy a few extra and try it on one. After washing them daily and leaving them outside they still stink. I contacted the company and even sent them pictures of the missing hardware in the box and I have yet heard back from them.
