They lace up tight but my toes are in no way cramped and critically, the fit on top of my feet, which in many boots/shoes get a lot of pressure due to my high arches, is superb. until they stop working. best lightweight down sweater I have bought a pair (another brand) in the past for the same price but these one are by far way better!
