After iterating through various Sennheiser models (a borrowed pair of 201s, then MX450s, MX170s, 202s and 428s) as well as a few other brands including Bose, Sony and Panasonic, I decided to spend a little more to move to what I consider the "lower high-end" of Sennheisers range.
