I wouldnt trust it to leave a bike locked up overnight in New York City or anything like that, but its a perfect deterrent for lower-crime areas. I did cut the back heal part off with a razor blade. spb291 My recommendation if mounting to the wall would be to mount wood to wall, then anchor these to the wood, versus relying on drywall anchors anyway.
